What’s a bit surprising is the rather impolite reaction she’s showing in response to the owl’s friendly gesture. It seems that tourists don’t always have the best manners!

It’s very likely that the owl didn’t mean to startle her so much, and now she has an unexpected new companion! When it comes to making friends, having a bird of prey as a buddy isn’t too bad… as long as you’re not its target, of course! That moment might have been a bit scary, but the result is a great photo and an unforgettable vacation memory.

This isn’t just a passing phase, Mom! But perhaps it would have been a bit more sensible for this young goth enthusiast to face the facts and ditch the all-black outfit while at the beach. When you think about it, it’s hard to imagine a more uncomfortable choice of clothing under the blazing sun!

Chances are, her family is just glad they managed to get her out of the house in the first place! Sometimes, you have to pick your battles, and it seems like these parents have made a wise decision.
