Holiday photos that make you smile

Taking your dog on boat trips isn’t always easy, so we often prefer to leave them behind. However, we might find a great new friend in the form of seals! They’re good swimmers and naturally live there, so all is well, and they can be cute too.

The girl is feeding the sea lion a fish as if it were her pet. Sea lions are not usually aggressive towards humans, but a wild animal remains a wild animal – they can be dangerous, especially if they are hungry. It is recommended not to feed or pet them if they appear aggressive.

Even though this looks unusual, it’s also odd and humorous. As unlikely as it seems, these kinds of scenarios often happen. The boat in this picture is a sloop. Back in the day, they were the most common type of pirate ship, designed to sail super fast and swing around trees near the water.

Nowadays, a modern sloop is a sailboat with a single mast, a jib, and a mainsail. You’ll usually find a Bermuda rig or gaff rig on most of these boats. It’s called a “fore-and-aft” rig because it positions the sails at an angle to the wind, instead of directly forward. A sloop can be classified as a cutter or catboat depending on the style and number of jibs.

As previously mentioned, it’s perfectly normal, and even traditional, to spend the holidays with family through outdoor adventures. Oftentimes, these holiday adventures take the form of a fun day at the beach. In this context, it’s ideally important to grab a memorable snapshot of your loved ones enjoying the scenery. Unfortunately, in this photo, it seems like everyone is not having fun with all the waves pranking them.

Especially the eldest son got hit the worst, as the waves seemingly swept him off his feet. We truly hope that these waves won’t trigger a lifelong phobia of the beach and its waves in him. Nevertheless, it’s still quite a memorable photo, and we have to give credit to the family for sharing their unique family beach photo on the internet.
