Holiday photos that make you smile

People stress about calorie-counting diets before summer because they want to rock their best swimwear. It takes a significant amount of effort to maintain a trim figure. Plus, there’s the carefully planned wardrobe for the entire vacation so they don’t wear the same outfits twice. Of course, no one would notice, but maybe their Facebook friends would!

Well, this person didn’t bother with any of that. Did she want to go to the beach and sport a swimsuit? Unlikely. It seems like she embraced the Gothic style and kept it going for the duration of her vacation. Does that mean she didn’t enjoy it? On the contrary, she looks like she’s having fun, judging by the tight-lipped smile. It might be swelteringly hot, but one advantage of that outfit is that she won’t get a sunburn. She might be dehydrated though, so she needs to grab a drink!

Anyone afraid of heights? We bet a lot of us aren’t exactly thrilled about standing on top of a building and looking down, right? But did you know there are people who actually *love* experiences like that? They pull off stunts most of us wouldn’t even dream of, like tightrope walking. And as if that weren’t enough, they even play instruments while they’re up in the air.

The people you see in the photo are wearing harnesses, but even with that, it’s still terrifying. So, why are they up there in the first place? These individuals are part of a slacklining music group called Houle Douce, and the photo is from 2018. These two were rehearsing for an aerial performance in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan Province, China. At 1,400 meters above sea level, the two demonstrated courage and talent while the world watched. No doubt, these two deserve recognition for their work.
